Forest Heritage

Land Leasing

Over the last 15 years, various issues such as water scarcity and the emergence of specific pests have impacted the efficiency of our plantations. These challenges led us to reassess the use of our lands and forests, driving a diversification strategy that is aligned with both social and environmental considerations.

As a result of this analysis, we created an innovative solution: leasing our lands for diverse projects. This strategy not only optimizes the use of our resources but also opens up new opportunities for business growth and sustainable development.

Avellanos PO

Avellanos PO is an agricultural company established in 2024 with the goal of developing a project dedicated to the cultivation of European hazelnuts (Corylus avellana), a species renowned for its exceptional quality and strong international demand.

The company expects to plant 1.000 hectares in the commune of Angol. This ambitious growth plan highlights the company’s commitment to boosting production and meeting market demand.
The project’s implementation prioritizes product quality by carefully selecting sites with optimal soil and climate conditions, ensuring the ideal environment for cultivation. This is achieved through a detailed analysis of terrain characteristics and weather conditions, ensuring that each planted hectare produces the highest possible returns.

Avellanos PO is also committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices. The company prioritizes the conservation of natural resources and biodiversity, promoting farming techniques that minimize environmental impact while supporting the long-term health of local ecosystems.

Consequently, Avellanos PO seeks not only to position itself as a leader in high-quality hazelnut production, but also as an example of environmental responsibility and sustainability in the agricultural sector.

At Avellanos Po we build a future where excellence and respect for nature go hand in hand, generating superior quality products that satisfy growing international demand.

Forest management

Our forestry heritage, certified under the FSC® standard, is divided into several sustainable projects.

We allocate part of our land for CARBON CAPTURE, to contribute to climate change mitigation. Another portion is assigned to the installation and operation of wind turbines, which convert the kinetic energy of wind into electricity, a RENEWABLE source of ENERGY. For these projects, we identify areas of high conservation value to preserve local BIODIVERSITY, allowing us to balance the responsible use of forest resources with the socio-environmental benefits.
