Agreement promoted by Cautín will allow the training of parents of the Manzanar school in Lumaco.

The agreement signed by the company, the city council of Lumacoand the representatives of the educational community seeks to install competencies among parents through training that will allow them to contribute to the development of the institution and its environment.

At the Manzanar school in the city of Lumaco, the cooperationagreement was signed between the city council, the parents school association and Cautín. This agreement will train parents in skills to identify opportunities for public financing and how to apply forinitiatives that contribute to the development of the school and its members.

“Through this agreement, Cautín will have a specialized consultancy for the training and support of parents and territorial representatives in matters such as application for public and private funds, project formulation, accountability and analysis of results,” explained the Executive Director of Cautín, Marcelo Neculmán, who added that “this comprehensive support will allow the community to address priority local problems and generate new financing opportunities in social, educational and infrastructure areas.”

The agreement that seeks to strengthen the management capacity and participation of the educational community, promoting moreefficient and autonomous management within the institution, will have an initial duration of four months, a period in which several face-to-face and virtual activities will be developed, including meetings, training and technical advice.

The initiative was valued by the mayor of Lumaco, Richard Leonelli, who described it as a great contribution to the school community. “This agreement contributes very much because the parents are going to be trained, probably people who do not have the possibility of doing so due to the distance between Manzanar and the urban centers and issues with connectivity, so the training will help them to identify projects from the central level, get resources to apply and contribute to the development of their own area,”  Leonelli said.

“I wish all companies could have this vision, because we need development, but in order to have development we need trained people; I congratulate Cautín for the extraordinary initiative, because if we have training and education, it means we will have a contributionto the development of the territory. I hope benefits can be obtained from this, that the maximum number of parents are involved so that it bears fruit soon, because people who live in more remote places havevery little chance of accessing these trainings,” said the community leader.
