The emotional ceremony, with more than 400 attendees, was held at the Municipal Theater of Constitución, Maule Region, highlighting the contribution of people and institutions to the sector and the positive impact they generate on the production chain.
Proud and grateful. This is how Daniela Salgado, Cautin log yard manager, expresses her feelings after receiving in an emotional ceremony the Condor of the Winds, a wooden sculpture that represents strength, freedom and connection between nature and the culture of our country, and that recognizes in this twentieth version of the COREMA awards, her dedication, effort and commitment, which has been fundamental for the development and growth of the sector.
“The ceremony was very beautiful, full of energy and genuine recognition. I felt a lot of pride, but above all gratitude for everything I learned and for the people who have been part of this journey. This Corma award means a lot to me, because it reflects years of silent work, of learning as you go, of making mistakes and improving. In an area where sometimes the effort goes unnoticed, receiving this recognition is a huge boost to continue growing and being a contribution,” Daniela Salgado said.

Along with Daniela, 48 other people and institutions were awarded for their contribution to sustainable development, innovation and excellence in the country’s forestry and timber industry. It is also a recognition of the commitment and dedication, values that Daniela embodies during her stay in Cautin. “I think it is relevant because it shows that a job well done, with dedication and a sense of teamwork, also has an impact and is valued. And, above all, because it makes visible the contribution of many women who today are making a presence in traditionally masculine areas,” Daniela added.
“Daniela has demonstrated her commitment to the positive development of our company and has also grown along this path in the work, personal and professional spheres. She has gained great experience and knowledge; she feels part of this project and has conquered spaces in a mostly male field. She has become a guide for others, and her distinction is undoubtedly an incentive for her colleagues,” Hugo Marín said, head of Administrative Management of Cautín.
It should be noted that, in this edition, SMEs, high schools, academics and community organizations from the regions of Maule to Los Lagos were also awarded for their contribution in areas as diverse as sustainable forest management, wood and pulp production, fire prevention, occupational safety, wood construction, gender equality, technological innovation and the training of new generations. among others.
