Aiming to reforest and restore areas lacking vegetation, as well as establish windbreaks, residents of rural areas in Los Sauces received 40.000 eucalyptus nitens plants donated by Bosques Cautín.
The plants were handed over by Cristian Bosman, Bosques Cautín’s Northern Area Manager, to the municipality of Los Sauces, where they were received by Municipal Administrator Cristian Torres. ‘Through this contribution, residents of rural areas will be able to contribute to environmental improvement by planting trees for reforestation, restoring soil in eroded areas, and creating windbreaks with plants provided by the municipality of Los Sauces, which were purchased by Bosques Cautín from the company Agromen’.
‘This is an initiative we are implementing to benefit those living in rural areas who want to improve the space where they live and perform their activities, especially to prevent erosion’, emphasized Cristian Bosman.
The forestry specialty students from the Los Sauces high school will play a role in assisting the residents with the planting of these trees, which will help improve their environment and quality of life.
