The company achieved certification under the new standard for Chile from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®C012718), a tool that guarantees responsible forest management, contributing to the protection of the environment and the well-being of local communities.

Luis Alfaro, Cautín’s Sustainability Manager, described the renewal of the certification under Forest Stewardship Council or FSC® standards as a source of pride for the company and its employees, a milestone that reaffirms the internal processes of continuous improvement and the commitment to environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable actions.
“We are proud, we have been one of the first companies to be certified under this new standard approved for Chile, which reaffirms our commitment to responsible and sustainable forest management,” Luis Alfaro stated.
The FSC® standard consists of 10 principles that guarantee responsible forestry activity, guidelines that companies are committed to complying with, submitting annually and voluntarily to an audit, which for 22 consecutive years has recommended Cautín to obtain this seal.
“Obtaining the certification again shows our commitment to the sustainability of our activities and this has been possible, thanks to the entire Cautín team, for their dedication, effort and professionalism, elements that have been key to meeting the demanding requirements of this certification,” added Luis Alfaro, Cautín’s Sustainability Manager.
